Laura Untner is a literary scholar specialising in digital literary studies. She is a doctoral candidate at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies and a research associate at Freie Universität Berlin (Cluster of Excellence »Temporal Communities«). Since June 2026 she is a co-opted member of the Executive Board of Digital Humanities in German-speaking countries (DHd), whose Early Career Working Group and the Netzwerk junge Digital Humanities Berlin-Brandenburg she coordinates with Henny Sluyter-Gäthje. Before that, she studied German Philology and Comparative Literature at the University of Vienna and worked at the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities.
Beyond academia, Laura Untner is active in the independent literary scene – as a board member of Unabhängige Lesereihen e. V. and part of the curatorial team behind »Schreiben gegen die Norm(en)?«. Back in Vienna, she co-organised the reading series »Gläserne Texte« for many years.
